We want to make sure this project is inclusive. Part of environmental justice is making sure historically marginalized voices are heard and welcome in the development of the built environment.

Alma Flores, Former REACH Director of Housing Development

Dartmouth Crossing for REACH Community Development will be an affordable housing community on a two-block parcel in an emerging district of Tigard, OR. In collaboration with Cascadia Partners, The Multicultural Collaborative, and Colas Construction, and guided by the City of Tigard’s vision, Bora is innovating a welcoming district that will embrace sustainable urbanism and community partnerships. The new community will feature more than 250 new residences, childcare, and other community amenities, leveraging trauma-informed design and Critical Race Theory to provide an equitable place to call home that serves an intergenerational, multicultural population.

As a pedestrian-friendly, people-centered development, Dartmouth Crossing will provide a healthy environment with abundant connections to nature. The effort prioritized extensive community engagement, guided by a Project Advisory Committee of diverse community representatives who met regularly to inform the design process.

Currently under construction with a 2025 completion target, Phase 1 of the development will be a 4-story building featuring 85 new homes.
