Organization-Wide Sustainability Strategy
High-performance design emerges naturally with an intentional vision, company culture, and design process. With the right strategic foundation, any organization can achieve truly sustainable buildings across their portfolio. Our Sustainability Strategy Workshop, designed to identify an organization’s unique vision of sustainability, will result in the roadmap necessary to embed sustainability into any practice.
Effective Sustainability Communication
How do you talk about sustainability to deliver on your values? We work with firm leaders and marketing departments to fine-tune language and communication around sustainability to make clear the value that high-performance design will deliver to clients and communities. With the right language, clients will actively request high-performance solutions, rather than shy away from them.
Project Sustainability Leadership
Focusing on a single project from concept to post-occupancy allows an organization to put ideas into action and build in-house expertise. For these projects, we take on the role of project sustainability lead, facilitating visioning sessions, supporting the team with design direction, and performing simulations to inform the design process. In this role, we often interview for a project as an integral part of the team, or join prior to the beginning of concept, and then support the project and team with a proven high-performance design process and deep expertise in diverse areas of sustainable design. This type of engagement enables the project team to learn by doing, and to translate this process to future projects.
Sustainability Visioning Charrette
If you can only do one thing to improve project performance, we highly recommend a facilitated sustainability visioning charrette focused on collaborative goal-setting. With experience leading over 100 such charrettes covering diverse climates, clients, and building types, we meet the common challenge teams face due to disparate ideas around sustainability. This charrette will align project team members’ desired outcomes while clarifying how each individual can contribute toward realizing project goals.
