Bora’s new studio at Volta took home three IIDA Oregon awards at the October 19 ceremony: Best in Category (Corporate), an Impact Award for Equity & Inclusion, and Best in Show!
The jury highlighted that the studio “captures the way designers like to work,” noting the warmth and “creative chaos” of our “livable maker space as a work space.” Intentionally designed for equity from the start, the project collaborated with owner Killian Pacific, contractors Turner and Fortis, and the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) to award nearly 60% of the project’s construction costs to underrepresented companies.
We are so honored by the triple recognition and thrilled that we get to live out our values daily through this intentional space.
