Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture

Spokane, WA

Founded in 1916, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, colloquially known as the MAC, is the largest cultural organization in the Inland Northwest. Serving more than 100,000 visitors a year and associated with the Smithsonian Institution, the museum is located west of downtown Spokane, Washington, in a treasured historic neighborhood. As a living center of art, culture, and history, the museum is dedicated to inspiring expression, building community, and uncovering the relevance of history through art. Five underground exhibition galleries highlight regional history, visual art, and American Indian and other cultures. The museum includes an archive library, museum store, café, education center, community room, auditorium, and outdoor amphitheater, offering space to host traveling national and international exhibitions that connect patrons to the world through shared experience.
