Oregon State University marked the grand opening of its newly renovated Withycombe Hall on April 11, drawing a crowd of enthusiastic visitors, and long lines for celebratory free ice cream.
Originally established in 1952, Withycombe Hall has long served as the home for OSU’s winery and creamery research programs. Bora’s recent renovation transforms the facility into a modern, state-of-the-art learning environment. With upgraded equipment and expanded space, the hall now supports a more robust, hands-on educational experience, preparing students for evolving opportunities in the food and beverage industries.
One of the highlights of the reopening is the Beaver Classic Creamery, now officially open to the public. Visitors can sample and purchase products crafted by students and faculty, including cheeses, ice creams, and honey, all made as part of OSU’s ongoing commitment to agricultural innovation and education.
