We are heartbroken by the events that unfolded on January 6 at our nation’s Capitol.
While democracy ultimately prevailed, what transpired tells us we have much to do as citizens and as humans. It reinforces that the decisions we make as designers impact the communities we serve, reflect our beliefs about humanity, and must embody our values of justice, equity, and democracy. These are not easy times to navigate, and the issues at hand are systemically complex. But we always have an eye toward the future and the world we are shaping, and we believe the decisions we make both big and small must work to better the lives of those around us.
As a firm we’re striving for positive change and renewal in 2021, confident that together we can work toward something greater than ourselves to build a world of decency and goodness.
