Creating a cohesive family of signage that fit within the building design concept of a “Natural Network” was crucial for this 7-story workplace. While our tech client had well-established standards that were used for all code and regulatory signage, specialty space signage was uniquely adapted to match the interior’s materiality and color palette. Workplace signage identifying neighborhoods and zones employ a design system of routed wood that reveals contrasting color behind. A series of 15 custom illustrations continues this design system of wood, layering, and color reveals. At the Market, consistent typography and layering perpetuate this visual language, while the introduction of black materiality signals a unique amenity type, consistent with the overarching brand system we designed for the Urban Food Hall.
