Old Dominion University Goode Theater

Norfolk, VA

Originally conceived as a single addition to the existing Diehn Fine and Performing Arts building, this project evolved into a new free-standing theater building for the University, housing a flexible studio theater, sound stage for student television productions, and scene shop. The transparent fa├žade gives passersby a sense of the vitality and creativity happening within, while color-changing LED lighting and images projected over the main entry doors animate the building by night. Bora also renovated the adjacent historic Stables Theater to better accommodate theater classrooms and a large costume shop.
