We recently broke ground on the new Multnomah County Library Belmont branch, a project that will renovate the existing 1924 building and create a vaulted two-story mass timber addition envisioned as a luminous “community living room” for Southeast Portland residents. The design of the library–one of the busiest in Multnomah County–is being shaped by extensive community feedback to celebrate nature, choice, and delight with a highly browsable collection.
