On March 23, Gray Magazine will be hosting a panel discussion in Portland, looking at the way workplace design is evolving. Bora’s very own Sarah Weber will be a panelist, offering her insights and observations based on deep experience with clients like Microsoft, Airbnb, and Google.
I asked Sarah if she had any thoughts about workplace design trends and challenges she wanted to share before the panel. Without giving too much away, she said she was looking forward to the opportunity to talk about how people’s lives can be improved through elevated design, especially given how much time we all spend in the office. As design aesthetics have shifted, and technology has advanced, Sarah’s perspective is that a successful workplace focuses on cultivating a culture of participation, balancing open and closed spaces, and bringing in natural materials to help people feel grounded in a tech-heavy world.
