Creekside Community High School Achieves Net Zero!

by Bora Architects

We’re proud to announce that Creekside Community High School’s new flagship building in Tigard, OR, has achieved Zero Energy Certification through the International Living Future Institute.

Along with numerous energy-saving strategies to achieve a low EUI, the new building features a rooftop photovoltaic array that generates 148,000 kW hours/year to offset its annual energy use. An energy dashboard in the building’s commons serves as a teaching tool for students to engage the facility’s performance in real time.

This Zero Energy certification is a first for Bora, a first for the Tigard-Tualatin School District, and an accomplishment of many like-minded partners such as Glumac committed to a more sustainable world.
