Corey Squire, Bora’s Director of Sustainability, recently delivered the keynote address at the 8th annual 1.5°C Symposium on Climate Change, hosted by the AIA Los Angeles Committee on the Environment.
This year’s symposium coincided with the 55th anniversary of Earth Day—an especially meaningful moment to both reflect on the progress we’ve made and look ahead to the critical work still to come. Corey’s keynote explored these themes, emphasizing the power of design to solve pressing challenges, from climate action to social equity, and how we as designers have a responsibility to imagine the future we want to live in. The most important design problem before us today is how we communicate this future vision.
