Bora to Partner with Community Vision for Universal Design Workshop

by Bora Architecture & Interiors

Universal Design embraces the full spectrum of human experience, ensuring that built environments are inclusive for people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds without the need for adaptation or specialized design. For example, dual stairway handrails can accommodate both children and adult heights; braille at handrails (or tactile floor markers) guide wayfinding for those with vision impairments, and varied furniture heights provide comfort for all body types.

On October 1, we are hosting an Emerging Professionals Workshop + Happy Hour with Community Vision, a nonprofit that provides services, education, and advocacy to ensure people with disabilities are included in all spaces. This event will explore how designers can be both activists and advocates for Universal Design.
