Bora Principal Michael Tingley on transforming Lincoln Hall into one of Portland’s most popular Performing Arts venues

Long in dire need of deferred maintenance, Lincoln Hall was almost demolished in the early 2000s. However its important legacy within the city and its beautiful historic character saved this building that enjoys a prominent address on Broadway in downtown Portland and houses Portland State University’s College of the Arts.

This summer, Bora Principal Michael Tingley talked with journalist Brian Libby for his new podcast, In Search of Portland, about how the design team stretched a budget for deferred maintenance into a full building transformation that positions Lincoln Hall as a modern academic facility and important civic asset.
