We’ve reached the end of another May, which means the end of another Bike More Challenge. After a month of solid cycling, what better way to celebrate than with Gold certification from the City of Portland’s Sustainability at Work program!
In order to meet the eligibility criteria for Gold, we needed to disclose information about our sustainability plans and policies, materials and waste management strategies, energy saving methods, transportation habits (like biking!), and water use. The City then sent an independent inspector to verify our practices. We’ve been Gold-certified since 2012 now, and we have no plans to change that (unless the city creates a Platinum award, that is).
Enjoy the photos of our cycling excursions, and if you work in the Portland area, consider applying for certification with the City. At the very least, it’s a great excuse to ride your bike!
