Bora worked with the College of Music at Michigan State University to program, master plan, design, and implement the transformation of their teaching and performance facilities. The collaboration began in 2001 resulting in a community focused creative space for students.

The 180-seat Cook Recital Hall is one of two performance venues completed as phases of the updated plan. We dramatically transformed this space located in the campus music building. Not only did Bora remove the proscenium but we also demolished the balcony to create a first-rate recital venue.  Now, students enjoy the exceptional acoustics  perfect for small ensemble performances within this historic 1939 building.

In its updated build, Cook Recital Hall is the heart of performance life for the College of Music. Rehearsals, recitals, concerts, and master classes from visiting musicians fill the updated space. Full renovations also include new seating, acoustical treatments, the addition of air conditioning and updated heating and ventilation systems.
